About Us

Nested on the scenic Beaver Creek River in the town of Gilmour, Anchor Retreat Centre (ARC) hosts summer camps, school trips and church retreats in a unique atmosphere. Situated on a 10+ acres of lush forest, ARC provides a wilderness experience only 2.5 hours away from Toronto surrounded by pine trees, rolling hills, hiking trails, and the winding rivers.

Anchor Retreat Centre is owned and managed by Land of Hope.
Land of Hope is a charitable organization registered in Canada committed to spreading the hope through community works, mega public events and ARC.

Offering comfortable accommodation for our guests. The facility has properties that can be used all year round, a main lodge including rooms, a restaurant with an indoors and outdoors deck and a chalet that includes bedrooms, a kitchenette, and washrooms.

All main lodge rooms are elegantly furnished, featuring comfortable beds, showers or jacuzzis. Our private chalets have a magnificent view of Beaver Creek River and are steps away from our restaurant. Our cabins feature two floors, a kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry facilities, a private outdoor fire pit and large attached deck.
